Services for Janet L. Farley 71, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Friday-September 11, 2009-10:00 AM at the Grace Baptist Church in Milan, New Mexico. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. Pastor Dale Thatcher will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Thursday-September 10, 1009-6:00 PM- 8:00 PM at the Grace Baptist Church in Milan, New Mexico.
Mrs. Farley was born on October 2, 1937 in Princewick, West Virginia and she passed away on September 4, ,2009 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was married to Jack on October 6, 1956 and lived in Grants since 1960.
Janet was the Manager of the Fallout Shelter in the 1960's. Was a member of the Grants Womens Bowling League, Grants Ladies Golf Association, Grants Chamber of Commerce, Arts Coalition, Wamies and Grants Mining Museum.
She is survived by her husband: Jack E. Farley, Sr. of Sun City, Arizona and Grants, New Mexico; Sons: Jack E. Farley, Jr. and wife Elaine of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Terry L. Farley and wife Janet of Grants, New Mexico and G. Wayne Farley and wife Helene of Grants, New Mexico; Sister: Alice Rowles of West Virginia; Brother: Jim Mitchem of Los Lunas, New Mexico; 7 Grandchildren(TK and Tammy Brown, Tara Farley, Leah Farley, Kevin and Kenna Farley, Stacie Farley, Adrian Farley and Rachel Farley) and 2 Great Grandchildren (Jason Brown and Noah Farley).
She is preceded in death by her parents: Luther Mitchem and Edria Clark Mitchem; Sisters: Virgie Sincel, Pauline Coah and June Warmer; Brothers: Alfred Crews, Andrew Crews, Donald Mitchem, Martin Mitchem and Garnet Mitchem.
Pallbearers will be: Terry Kenneth Brown, Marc Brown, Chris Otero, Kevin Farley, Adrian Farley, Trenton Moore.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Jason Brown, Noah Farley.
