Services for James Wade Sims-West, 48, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Saturday-August 11, 2007-11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church. Pastor Reuben Thomas, Rev. Richard Danek, Rev. Thomas Sims will officiate. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park.
James was born on October 16, 1958 in Holton, Kansas and passed away on August 6, 2007 in Oracoke, North Carolina. He was an attorney in Grants with the Boynton Law Firm. He got his under graduate degree form university of Kansas and his Juris Prudent Law Degree for New York University. He was active in the First United Methodist Church with all the children and the Boy Scouts. Devoted his life to others especially Children
he had been a resident of Grants for the last 12 years and touched many lives...
He is survived by his wife: Nancy Sims-West of Grants, New Mexico; Sons: Cooper Sims-West and Dylan Sims-West both of Grants, New Mexico; Sister: Mary Ann Hartman of Topeka, Kansas and Brother: Ray West of Stockton, California; Many Nieces and Nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Ned West and Rosalie James West.
Pallbearers will be: Wayne Smalley, Jimmy Jones, Cray Russell, Gabe Gallegos, John Roderick,
honorary Pallbearers will be: Members of the Boy Scout Troop 26
In Lieu of Flowers those who wish are invited to contribute to a trust fund set up at Grants State Bank for Jim's Children.
