Funeral Services for James Hilliard Jordan 75 of San Rafael, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-January 25, 2018-12:00 (Noon) at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Milan, New Mexico. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. Pastor Garland Moore will officiate.



James was born on June 29, 1942 in Malvern, Arkansas to Mark "Buddy" and Margaret Jordan and he passed away on January 20, 2018 in San Rafael, New Mexico. He joined the Navy Seabees in 1965 and was honorably discharged in 1969 after serving in Vietnam. On July 1, 1967 he married his wife, Mary with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2017. He came to New Mexico to work in the uranium mines where he stayed for many years, but retired in 2014 from the NM Women's Correctional Facility in Grants and was lovingly referred to as "PaPa Jordan" by his co-workers. In retirement he enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.



He is survived by his Loving Wife: Mary (Smith) Jordan of the family home; Sons: James Vernon Jordan and wife Lena and Stephen Jordan and wife Hoberlynn of Grants, New Mexico; Daughters: Marsha Beighly and husband Earl of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Amanda Jordan of San Rafael, New Mexico and Diana Gonzalez and husband Rafael of Grants, New Mexico; Brothers: David Jordan of Malvern, Arkansas, Robert Jordan of Fort Smith, Arkansas John Jordan and wife Martha of Malvern, Arkansas, Louis Jordan of Mississippi; Sisters: Linda Jordan of Iowa Park, Texas, Eva Jordan of Malvern, Arkansas and Martha Pilcher of Bismarck, Arkansas; 5 Grandchildren (Jaeleth and Odin Jordan, Andrew and Elias Jordan and Yazmin Gonzalez.



He is preceded in death by his Son: Matthew Jordan; Parents: Mark Hilliard Jordan and Margaret "Brooks" Jordan; Brothers: Ray Jordan, Phinnis Jordan and Danny Jordan; Sister: Francis Minter.



Pallbearers will be: Vernon Jordan, Stephen Jordan, Rafael Gonzalez, Chris Mintor, Cameron Mintor, Kevin Mintor



Honorary Pallbearers will be: Manuel Mintor, Mike Allender.
