Ida Kiro

Rosary and Funeral Mass for Ida M. Kiro, 92, will be held on Monday July 3, 2017. Rosary 9:30 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. The Rev. Olivas will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Kiro was born February 6, 1925 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and she passed on June 25, 2017, in Gallup.
Kiro retired from McKinley County Schools as a cook. She enjoyed cross-stitching, cooking, and loved her grandchildren.
Survivors include her Daughters: Christine Vallejos, of Gallup, NM, Erma Todachine, of Gallup, NM, Luann Gutierrez, of Albuquerque, NM, Virginia Valles, of Albuquerque, NM, Teresa Wood, of Oregon, Georgianna Kiro, of Gallup, NM, Bernadette Kiro, of Gallup, NM, Julie Kiro-Nelson, of Albuquerque, NM; Sons: Eugene Kiro, of Gallup, NM, Frank Kiro, of Albuquerque, NM, Michael Kiro, of Pico Rivera, CA, Robert Kiro, of Gallup, NM, Lawrence Kiro, of Gallup, NM; God-daughter Maria Marrufo, of Gallup, NM. Kiro had 48 grandchildren; 52 great- grandchildren; and 38 great-great grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her Sons: John Kiro, Lawrence Kiro Sr. and Daughter: Gloria Lee; Father: Lorenzo Waconda; Mother: Ann Analla-Bowers; Sister: Eunice Lente; Brothers: Walt Waconda, John Waconda and Louie Waconda.
Pallbearers will be: Robert Kiro, Brandon Kiro, Cody Kiro, Anthony Rosales, Mario Salazar, Jonathon Todachine Jr., and Fred Rodriguez.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Robert Vallejos Jr., Joe Rael, Alvin Nelson, John Waconda Jr., Paul Escamilla Jr., Royce Waconda, Lawrence Kiro, and Carlos Tenorio II.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
