Services for Hollie Higginson Nielson of 78 of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Saturday-May 3, 2008-11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1010 Bondad, Grants, New Mexico. Burial will follow at the Pioneer Memorial Cemetery in Bluewater, New Mexico.
Visitation will be held on Friday-May 2, 2008-4:00 PM-7:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary and on Saturday-May 3, 2008-10:00 AM-11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Hollie was born on March 10, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah to the Home of Margarete Eleanore Andrasen and Dennis Clyde Higginson. She passed away on April 26, 2008. She was a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was married to JH on May 2, 1947, and has been a resident of the Grants area since 1957.
She is survived by her daughter: Denyse Williams and husband David of Globe, Arizona; granddaughters: Stayce Jo Underwood and husband Manzel of Globe, Arizona, Charity Joan Harris and husband Jeff of Globe, Arizona and 6 Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Joseph Hugh "JH" Nielson; parents: Margarete and Dennis Higginson, and a sister Jean Godfrey and husband Ray.
Pallbearers will be: Joe Underwood, Kyle Underwood, Manzel Underwood, Jeff Harris, Ivan Chavez, Frank Chavez, Kevin Chavez and John Meador.
