Services for Harry Yazzie 96 of Smith Lake, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-May 14, 2009-10:00 AM at the Crownpoint Assembly of God Church. Pastor Carlos Baki will officiate. Burial will be held on Friday-May 15, 2009-11:30 AM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.



Mr. Yazzie was born on November 7, 1912 in Thoreau, New Mexico and he passed away on May 10, 2009 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during World War II. He retired from the Navajo Nation Tribal Police Department as an Officer.



He is survived by his wife: Lola N. Yazzie of Smith Lake, New Mexico; Daughters: Carol A. Showalter of Phoenix, Arizona, Betty J. Dixon of Crownpoint, New Mexico, Thelma M. Johnson of Tsaile, Arizona and Wanda L. Wilson of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Brother: Joe Yazzie of Thoreau, New Mexico and Sister: Juanita Young of Cayabito, Arizona; 7 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.



He is preceded in death by his parents: Yilth HaBah Barbone and Joe Jim.



Pallbearers will be: Erin Showalter, Brian E. Showalter, Kyle Wilson, Matthew Wilson,Christopher Dixon, Geoffrey L. Johnson, Shontysa Joe "iaia"



Honorary Pallbearers will be: Eric K. Joe, Alexander Wilson
