Funeral Services for Harold Platero 68, of Haystack, New Mexico will be held on Tuesday-October 12, 2010-10:00 AM at the Prewitt Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. Pastors: Edward King and Ernest Largo will officiate.
Mr. Platero was born September 16, 1942 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and he passed away on October 7, 2010 in Prewitt, New Mexico. He was retired from the Uranium Mines.
He is survived by his wife: Elsie Platero of Haystack, New Mexico; Children: Carol Chavez of Thoreau, New Mexico, Diana Bebo of Haystack, New Mexico, Geraldine Ortega of Prewitt, New Mexico, Tami Etsitty of Haystack, New Mexico and Travis Platero of Haystack, New Mexico; Siblings: Scotty Platero of Prewitt, New Mexico, Alice Johnson of Haystack, New Mexico, Gloria Platero of Chinle, Arizona, Afton Sells of Rough Rock, Arizona, Jimson Desiderio of Haystack, New Mexico, Zeta Laurence of Thoreau, New Mexico and Jimmy Lloyd Jones of Milan, New Mexico; 25 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son: Ted Riley Platero; Father: Riley Platero, Mother: Mary M. Platero; Brohters: Terry Desiderio, Milford Desiderio; Nephew: Rayloand Platero; Granddaughter: Heather Platero and Grandson: Redden Gibson.
Pallbearers will be: Ruben Ortega, Fabian Ortega, Tad Ortega, Curtis Chavez, Kyle Bebo, Brett Etsitty, Brad Etsitty, Nathaniel Largo.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Travis Platero, Scotty Platero, Jimson Desiderio, Marco Sells, Jason Platero, Eric Laurence, Noel Johnson and Scottin Platero.
