Rosary and Funeral Mass for "Matt" Harold E. Matthews 74, of Milan, New Mexico will be held on Saturday-June 4, 2011-9:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Grants Memorial Park.
Matt was born on March 27, 1937 in Flint, Michigan and he passed away on June 1, 2011 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a Veteran of the US Navy and was a member of the Foreign Legion.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia Matthews of Milan, New Mexico; Children: Russell Matthews of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Dawn Scott of Roswell, New Mexico and Sherry Matthews and fiance Wayne Rowan of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Step Children: Matthew Garcia and Christopher Garcia both of Fort Myers, Florida; Grandchildren: Peter Ambs, James Scott and Tad Scott all of Roswell, New Mexico.
He is preceded in death by his Parents:Erwin Raymond Matthews and Evelyn Matthews; Brothers: Jerry Matthews and Raymond Matthews.
Pallbearers will be: Richard Jones, Aaron Dean, Dominic Moleres, Jason Irvin, Jim Taylor and Paul Johnson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Matthew Garcia, Christopher Garcia, Vincent Brito, Ruben Brito, Jr., Roy Jones and Ruben Rougemount.
