Memorial Services for Gloria K. Schwenk 83, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Monday-September 30, 2013-10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church on Nimitz Dr. Rev. Larry Haslam will officiate.
Gloria was born on November 22, 1929 in Cleveland, Ohio and she passed away on September 24, 2013 in Grants, New Mexico. She met her future husband in 1953 and married him in 1959.
She followed her geologist husband from Cleveland to Fayetteville, North Carolina and back to Cleveland. From Cleveland she moved to Grants, New Mexico. Her next move was to Edgemont, South Dakota. Martin was offered a transfer to Karnes City, Texas, so the family moved there. Another (better) job offer came from Casper, Wyoming. The final move was back to Grants, where family stayed.
Gloria was active in Beta Sigma Phi in both Wyoming and New Mexico. She was a part secretary for the First Presbyterian Church and was active in a political party when she was in good health.

She is survived by her Husband: Martin E. Schwenk, Jr. of Grants, New Mexico; Sons: Martin E. Schwenk, III of Sioux Falls, SD and Mark E. Schwenk of Grants, New Mexico and many grandchildren in various states.
