Services for Gloria J. Fletcher, 84, of Grants, N.M., included cremation.
Compassion Mortuary, 120 N. Third St., Grants, will hold services on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at 11 a.m.
A reception for family and friends will follow at La Ventana Steakhouse, 110 1/2 Geis St., Grants.
Internment will be at a later date at the Veterans Cemetery in Santa Fe, N.M.
She was born in Lead, S.D., on Sept. 28, 1928, and passed away after a short illness on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013.
Gloria is survived by her sister: Lorraine Roselles, of Lead; three children: Terry Fletcher and wife, Karen, of Grants; Keith Fletcher and wife, Kathie, of Douglas, Wyo.; and Mitchell Fletcher, of Glendale, Ariz.; and son-in-law Billy Goolsby of Albuquerque, N.M.; and the lights of her life, her grandchildren: Matthew Fletcher, of Grants; Jacey and her husband, Jack Bryson, of Washington; Cara and her husband, Joey Tulino, of Albuquerque; Jared Goolsby and his wife, Amanda, of Texas.
There are nine grandchildren by marriage: Amanda, Kristie, Thone, Dustin, Dallas, Will, Warren, Margie and David; and 28 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews in Iowa, South Dakota, and California.
Gloria will especially be missed by her longtime friend and caregiver, Jackye Scykels, her dog Dolly, her Wednesday lunch group and all her friends at the Senior Citizens Center in Grants.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of of more than 50 years, Ronald "Jiggs" Fletcher, and her daughter Ronni Goolsby.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the charity of choice.
