Rosary and Funeral Mass for Gilbert H. Ramirez 74, of Gallup, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-December 19, 2013-10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Gallup, New Mexico. Burial will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Friday-December 20, 2013-2:15 PM.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 Am till 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Gilbert was born on February 4, 1939 in Gallup, New Mexico and he passed away on December 14, 2013 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a Veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife: Flora Cleveland Ramirez of Gallup, New Mexico; Sons: Lester Paul Lira of San Bernadino, California and Michael Garcia of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; Daughters: Marcella Ramirez of Gallup, New Mexico, Crystal Garcia of Las Vegas, Nevada, Patricia Castillo of Gallup, New Mexico, Rosalyn Garcia of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Genevieve Arrerdondo of Gallup, New Mexico; Brother: Leo Ramirez of Gallup, New Mexico and Sister: Gloria Ramirez of Gallup, New Mexico; 19 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his Parents: Antonio Ramirez and Dominga Herrera Ramirez; Brothers: Raymond Ramirez, Sebastian "Chevy" Ramirez, Nick Ramirez, Vincent Ramirez and Alex Ramirez; sisters: Francis Ramirez and Pasquela "Pat" Grano.
Pallbearers will be: Isaac Garcia, Brandon Cardona, Lester Paul Lira, Jr., Joseph Lira, James Grano, Zachery Ramirez, Nick Salaz, III, and Fred Castillo.
