George Romero

Services for George H. Romero, 70, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Friday-January 25, 2008-1:00 PM at the Church of Christ in Grants, New Mexico. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. Pastor Charlton Taylor will officiate.



George was born on October 9, 1937 in Vadito, New Mexico and passed away on January 22, 2008 in Grants, New Mexico.



He is survived by his wife: Marylou Romero of Grants, New Mexico; Children: Patricia Corley and husband Stacey of Grants, New Mexico, Geroge J. Romero and wife Raquel of Yuma, Arizona; Brother: Fhilimon Vigil and wife Ramona of Espanola, New Mexico; Grandchildren: Justin Jones and Jacob Jones of Lubbock, Texas, Cassius Corley and Paris Corley of Grants, New Mexico, Georgie Romero and Isabela Romero of Yuma, Arizona; Son-in-law: Dino Jones of Lubbock, Texas; Mother-in-law: Elvira Romero of Vadito, New Mexico; Sister-in-laws: Gloria Martinez and husband Virgil of Cerro, New Mexico, Lucille Chavez and husband Rick of Carlsbad, New Mexico and Janet Garcia and husband Peter of Rio Lucio, New Mexico and many nieces and nephews.



He is preceded in death by his parents: Arturo Pacheco and Maria DeLaLuz; Daughter: Annette Jones; Brothers: Joe D. Vigil and Mel Vigil; Sister: Lydia Martinez.



Pallbearers will be: Nick Romero, Bert Romero, Demecio Romero, Gerald Romero, Victor Romero, Richard Vigil and Rudy Romero.



Honorary Pallbearers will be: Frank Hilliard, Jim Gurule, and the Elders for the Church of Christ.
