Funeral Services for Geneva Sophia Ford 91, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Monday-August 1, 2011-10:00 AM at Compassion Mortuary. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. Pastor Garland Moore will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Sunday-July 31, 2011-5:00 PM till 7:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary.
Geneva was born on October 22, 1919 in Mankato, Minn and she passed away on July 28, 2011 in Grants, New Mexico. She moved to the Grants Area in 1969.
In her earlier years she helped with World War II, worked with Kato Engineering Generators, Forest Service, Phillips 66 Stations and Burns Security. She was loved by all.
She is survived by her children: Shelly Reeves of Grants, New Mexico, Judith Chasteen of Oklahoma, Jennele Gose of Grants, New Mexico, Kathleen Burch of Optima, Oklahoma, Dennis Ford of Dove Creek, Colorado, Ronald Ford of Grants, New Mexico and Keith Ford of Grants, New Mexico; 26 Grandchildren, 52 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Elmer D. Ford; Grandchildren: David Dean Small and Ronald Lloyd Griffin; Parents: Edward Peter Hoffman and Minnie Kind Hoffman; Brothers: Edward Hoffman, Jerry Hoffman and Raymond Hoffman; Sisters: Lorraine Plumb and Joanne.
Pallbearers will be: Steven Ford, Dennis "DJ" Ford, Jr., Edward Ford, Ronald Ford, Cody Reeves, Kenneth Small, Pat Salazar and Manuel Sanchez.
