Services for Garland Gene Lewis, 59, July 11, 1950 - October 17, 2009, will be held Wednesday October 21 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Ramah, New Mexico.
Garland graduated from Ramah High School. After working several jobs throughout the state he landed at Century-Tel in Zuni, NM where he spent the following 30 plus years and had recently retired from.
Garland Enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and in his own words "puttering around at the barn".
Survivors include his Wife, Dee Ann Lewis of Ramah, NM; Sons, Dawane Lee Lewis and his wife Kristen Lewis of Belen, NM, Boyd Curtis Lewis and his wife Natalie Lewis of Ramah, NM, G. Preston Lewis and his wife Keila Lewis of Salt Lake City, Utah, Ned Parley Lewis of Ramah, NM; Daughters, Melinda Danyelle Herron and her husband Jaywhon Herron of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Megan Lurlene Brown and her husband Darnell Brown of Salt Lake City, Utah; Parents, Lurlene and Garland Parley Lewis of Ramah, NM; Bother Larry Lewis of Arco, Idaho, Sisters Eleva McMahon of Ramah, NM, Cindy Montague of Ramah, NM; Preceded in death by Brother Vernon Lewis; and Grandchildren Taea Danyelle Hill, Jordyn Natalia Lewis, Tychelle Damya Herron, Tahleah Dalaney Herron, Mikaylah Jene Lewis, Kourtney Amber Lewis, Andrew Boyd Lewis, and Jaidyn Kiele Lewis.
He is preceded in death by his brother: Vernon Lynn Lewis.
