Services for Fred C. James of Prewitt, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-July 15, 2010-9:00 AM at the Thoreau Church of God. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. Bishop Ray Barker and Pastor Florence Barker will officiate.
Mr. James was born on March 20, 1931 in Haystack, New Mexico and he passed away on July 12, 2010 in Gallup, New Mexico.
His hobbies were singing and praying, sitting outside, traveling with children to parks and sightseeing, enjoying time with all his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife: Rena J. James of Prewitt, New Mexico; sons: Freddie James, Frank James, Peter Ray James and Steven James all of Prewitt, New Mexico; Daughters: Lorraine James of Thoreau, New Mexico, Jan Loretto of Grants, New Mexico and Roberta Garcia of Pewitt, New Mexico; Brother: David Roy James of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Sisters: Ruth Gaddy of Haystack, New Mexico and Rose Gaddy of Prewitt, New Mexico; 20 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Rose V. Johnson and Perry Roy James; Brother: Lee James; Sister: Bertha Tso; Daughter: Isabell James Billy; Granddaughter: Kimberly Garcia.
Pallbearers will be: Mike Loretto, Scott Hobbs, Derek James, Orlando Chacho, Gerrick James and Marvin James.
