Services for Fred Vernon Elkins,67 of Milan, New Mexico will be held on Saturday-October 6, 2007-10:30 AM at the Prewitt Bi-County Fair Grounds. Burial will follow at the Elkins Family Cemetery in Prewitt, New Mexico. Pastor Clyde Clark will officiate.
Mr. Elkins was born on September 14, 1940 in Prewitt, New Mexico and passed away on October 3, 2007 at his home in Milan, New Mexico. He was self employed as a Rancher and Real Estate.
He is survived by his children: Troy Elkins of Socorro, New Mexico, Carl Elkins and wife Shawnda of Milan, New Mexico, and Dawn Elkins of Socorro, New Mexico; Grandchildren: Kyla Elkins and Lany Elkins of Milan, New Mexico and Darius Elkins of Socorro, New Mexico; Brothers: D.J. Elkins of Farmington, New Mexico, Buddy Elkins of Grants, New Mexico, Dave Elkins of Gallup, New Mexico and Sister: Mildred Elkins of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Thomas L. Elkins, Sr. and Josephine Maude Elkins; Brohters: Lawrence Elkins, Jack Elkins, Keith Elkins Kin Elkins; Sister: Kattie Bell Elkins.
Pallbearers will be: Tommy Elkins, Ronnie Elkins, Johnny Elkins, Jackie Elkins, Pat Swan, Dick Elkins.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Micky Fuhs, Lynn Head, Pat Simpson, Leon Hawkins, Buddy Elkins, D.J. Elkins, Dave Elkins.
