Frank Salcido

Funeral Mass for Frank Salcido, Sr. 86, of Grants, New Mexico will be held Tuesday-February 12, 200810:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. The Very Rev. Alberto Avella will be the celebrant.



A Rosary will be held on Monday-February 11, 2008-7:00 PM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.



Mr. Salcido was born on January 29, 1922 in McGaffey, New Mexico and passed away on February 8, 2008 in Grants, New Mexico. He was a veteran of World War II and served with the US Navy. He has been in Grants since 1938. He worked for Adams for 30 years, Anaconda for 6 years and was the Assistant Manager for Anthony's for 10 years. He married his wife on August 12, 1946 in Grants, New Mexico.



He is survived by his wife: Navolina Salcido of Grants, New Mexico; children: Beatrice Chavez and husband Salvador of Grants, New Mexico, Annie Lopez and husband Clifford of Grants, New Mexico, Frank Salcido, Jr. and wife Irene of Grants, New Mexico, Connie Knox and husband Norman of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Gilbert Salcido of Grants, New Mexico and Alice Salcido of Grants, New Mexico; Brothers: Billy Salcido of San Rafael, New Mexico, Wilford Salcido of Grants, New Mexico; Sisters: Martina Candelaria of Grants, New Mexico, Angie Villijos of Grants, New Mexico, Patty Ogden of Grants, New Mexico Jean Kayler of Grants, New Mexico and Lucy Woody of Alamogordo, New Mexico; 12 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren.



He is preceded in death by his parents: Jesus and Patrocina Salcido; Grandson; Richard Lopez; Sister: Susie Tagnigne; Brother: Simon Salcido.



Pallbearers will be: Victor Lopez, Salvador Chavez, Dominic Salcido, Jeremy Salcido, Eugene Chavez, Tim Knox.



Honorary Pallbearers will be: Denise Salcido, Amy Chavez, Jeanette Hassel, Robin Lopez, Andy Lopez, Jessica Knox,
