Funeral Services for Florencio Chavez 84, of Albuquerque, New Mexico will be held on Monday-December 6, 2010-11:00 AM at the Potters House in Grants, New Mexico. Burial with full military honors by the VFW Lodge 3221 will be at the Grants Memoiral Park. Pastor Larry Teshima will officiate.

Visitation will be held on Sunday-December 5, 2010-3:00PM till 6:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary.

Mr. Chavez was born on June 21, 1926 in Grants, New Mexico and he passed away on November 29, 2010 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a veteran of the US Army.

He is survived by his brothers: Erminio Chavez of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Arturo Chavez of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Eloy Chavez of Ogden, Utah; Sisters: Ida Chavez of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Silveria Chavez of Albuquerque, New Mexico and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his Parents: Raphael Chavez and Sophie Chavez; Brothers: Demetirio Chavez and Kilimaco Chavez; Sister: Ideliada Chavez.

Pallbearers will be: Paul Chavez, Gabriel Rodriguez, Ismael Meza, Raymond Chavez,Joey Lovato,Isaiah Meza, Manuel Griego, and Jerry Chavez
