Funeral Services for Evalena Brewington Sanchez 79 of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Saturday-September 19, 2009-10:00 AM at Compassion Mortuary. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held on Friday-September 18, 2009-5:00PM-7:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary.
Evalena Brewington was born on February 24, 1930 in Hockerville, Oklahoma and she passed away on September 13, 2009 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
She married Ray Sanchez in 1951 and moved to Grants in 1958. When he started working for Kerr-McGee and she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her son: Michael Sanchez and wife Heather; Daughter: Terri Harris and husband Bucky; Stepson: Danny Sanchez; Stepdaughter: Margaret Padilla; Grandchildren: Andrea DeAguero, Chris Brito, Ashley Davis and Alison Sanchez and 5 Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Ray Sanchez in 1980; Parents: Chester Brewington and Bessie Sykes Brewington; Sisters: Edna Conner, Dorothy Garber, Leorine McKay, Morvine Anderson and Beulah Brewington; and Brother: Bud Brewington.
Pallbearers will be: Vernon Anderson, Michael Garcia, Daren DeAguero and Chris Brito.
