Eutimia Halsey

May 7, 1939 — June 11, 2006

Eutimia our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend left this world to be with Jesus on June 11, 2006 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Leaving behind, her husband Herman (Pete) Halsey of Grants, New Mexico, Her daughter, Karen and husband Arnold Maxwell and their children Matthew 15, Kristopher 13, Alexandria 9, Mariah 7, Marcus 4 all of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Son Peter and wife Keri Halsey, their children Andrew 16, Amanda 14, Michael 9 all of Spring Creek, Nevada. Her brothers, Frank Mata of Romoland, California, Richard Mata of Las Vegas, Nevada; Sisters, Mary and husband Monico Candelaria of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Bertha and husband Rodolpho Heredia of Torrance, California, Stella and husband Tom Vigil of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Leah and husband Jabez Cruz of Milan, New Mexico, Leonor Mata of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 26 Nieces and Nephews, 33 Great Nieces and Nephews and 7 Great-Great Nieces and nephews.



She is preceded in death by her parents: Francisco and Felipa Mata, three sisters; Emelia Mata, Mollie Mills and Virginia Halabaso.



She was born on May 7, 1939 in San Rafael, New Mexico.



Eutimia's number one interest was her family. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the "Red Hat' Society. She was previously a charter member of the BPO Doe's Club in Grants from 1972-2005. When her children were growing up, she was always involved in their activities. She was homeroom mother, Girl Scout Leader, Boy Scout Den Mother and a great playmate. She enjoyed camping with her husband and children. She was also active in her grandchildren's functions too. She was a member of the Saint Teresa de Avila Catholic Church in Grants and her family and friends will miss her dearly.



A rosary and funeral will be held on Friday-June 16, 2006-10:00 AM at Compassion Mortuary.
