Funeral Mass for Ernest G. Ortega 71, of Lovelock, Nevada will be held on Saturday-January 28, 2012-10:00 AM at St. Vivian's Catholic Church in Milan, New Mexico. Burial will follow at San Mateo Community Cemetery, San Mateo, New Mexico.



A Rosary will be held on Friday-January 27, 2012-7:00 PM at St. Vivian's Catholic Church.



Ernest was born on December 14, 1940 in San Mateo, New Mexico and he passed away on January 22, 2012 in Reno, Nevada. He worked many years in the Grants area in the Uranium Mines before moving to Nevada to work in the Silver Mines.



He is survived by his loving wife: Vereranda Ortega of Lovelock, Nevada; Son: Ernest John Ortega and wife Delilah of Aztec, New Mexico; Brothers: Milton Ortega of Los Lunas, New Mexico and Gary Ortega of San Mateo, New Mexico; Sisters: Lena Diaz of San Mateo, New Mexico, Pauline Gonzales of San Mateo, New Mexico, Jennie Marquez of Grants, New Mexico and Beatrice Martinez of Grants, New Mexico and 2 Grandchildren.



He is preceded in death by his Parents: Thomas Ortega and Margarita Gutierrez Ortega; Sister: Elizabeth Marquez.



Pallbearers will be: Paul Salazar, Martin Salazar, Gino Borthorgaray, Marty Borthorgaray, Arch Ruth, Stevie Barela.



Honorary Pallbearers will be: Roy Wagner, Lee Ruth, Martin Borthorgaray, Mike Aragon, Johnny Aragon, Richard Uranda, Pilo Marquez, Gary Ortega, Milton Ortega, Joaquin Tucson, TJ Tucson and Dawyne Ortega.
