Memorial Rosary and Funeral Mass for Erminia Jaramillo 89 of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Friday-July 9, 2021-9:30 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park.
Erminia Jaramillo, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, with members of her family by her side, on June 11, 2021.
Born on May 9, 1932 to Maria (Mirabal) and Serberto Gutierrez in San Mateo, New Mexico. Erminia was a life-long resident of Grants, New Mexico. Many may remember her from the time that she worked at Michael's Plaza or the Bar-F/Diamond Shamrock station that she managed for many years. Upon retiring, she enjoyed her time as a Teacher's Aide where many of the children referred to her as "grandma". Erminia was also known for her fluffy hand-rolled tortillas, spicy red chile, delicious tamales and homemade sweets. She loved to have her family and friends visit her at her home and cherished her company for hours of the day. She also enjoyed spending time at the casino with her friends that were like family to her.
She was preceded in death by Pat Jaramillo, who was her partner in life for over 20 years. Together, they enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her children: Edward Jaramillo, of Grants, New Mexico, Diane Lopez and fiance, Charles Lucero of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Frank Jaramillo and partner, Aili Toivanen of Katy, Texas; grandsons: Jonathon Jaramillo and wife, Destiny of Grants, New Mexico, Anthony Lopez of Orlando, Florida, Daniel Lopez and wife, Melanie of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Timothy (TJ) Jaramillo of Dallas, Texas, Cole Jaramillo of Katy, Texas; granddaughters: Mikala and Danielle (Bell) Jaramillo of Katy, Texas; great-grandchildren: Emma and Jonathan Jr. Jaramillo of Grants, New Mexico, Isaiah and Devon Lopez of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Pallbearer will be: Isaiah Lopez
