Funeral Services for Ena B. Chavez 86, of Crownpoint, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-May 31, 2012-10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Crownpoint, New Mexico. Burial will follow at the Crownpoint Community Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday-May 31, 2012-9:00 AM till 9:45 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Crownpoint, New Mexico.
Ena was born into the Bear People Clan and for the Mud People Clan on September 9, 1925 in Newcomb, New Mexico. She passed away on May 25, 2012 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Worked for the BIA-Social Services for 35 years. Was the manager of the Crownpoint Rug weavers Assoc. Outstanding community member, Enjoyed spending time with her family after she retired, loved to crochet, Embroider, knit and attend Song and Dance. She used to weave Two Grey Hills Rugs in her younger days.
She is survived by her Children: Christina Ellsworth of Crownpoint, New Mexico, Lorraine Martin of Crownpoint, New Mexico, Ella Mae Benally of Crownpoint, New Mexico; Brothers: Paul Beyale of Fort Defiance, Arizona, Clyde Beyale, Jr. of Pinedale, New Mexico and Bruce Beyale, Sr., of Tohatchi, New Mexico; 17 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her Husband: Alfred Chavez, Sr.; Children; Alfred Chavez, Jr., Eugene Chavez, Donna Armstrong and Raymond Chavez; Parents: Clyde Beyal, Sr. and Bil na ges bah Beyal; Sister: Ada Natoni; Brothers: John Franklin and Morris Lee Beyale.
Pallbearers will be: Dustin Perry, Lou Anton, Jr. Melvin Natoni, Alfred Eugene Armstrong, Donny Armstrong, Raynelle Chavez.
