Funeral Services for Elvis Nelson 61, of Milan, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-September 28, 2017-10:00 AM at the Prewitt Assembly of God. Burial will follow at the Thoreau Community Cemetery. Sister Ruth Droll will officiate.
Elvis was born on September 13, 1956 in Laguna, New Mexico and he passed away on September 20, 2017 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He is survived by his Son: Jonathan Nelson of Prewitt, New Mexico; Daughters: Vanessa Lopez of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Star Nelson of Prewitt, New Mexico and Wenona Duran of Las Vegas, Nevada; Sisters: Bessie Yazzie and Lucy Desiderio both of Haystack, New Mexico, Fannie Vandever and Berdie Long both of Milan, New Mexico, Linda Todacheene of Phoenix, Arizona, Rita Nez of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Ellen Sam of Gallup, New Mexico; 8 Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his Parents: John Nelson and Nannie Cayadito Nelson; Brother: Wilson Nelson.
Pallbearers will be: Virgil Nelson, Hamp Vandever, Jr., Hank Vandever, Jonathan Nelson, Harris Desiderio, Von Erik Kien.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Hershel Nelson, Darryl Nelson, Nathaniel Nelson, Lenny Desidero, Ervin Tsosie, Derrick Dona, Hebrew Begay, Jr.
