Funeral Services for Elva Marie Ellis, 98 of Cortez, Colorado will be held on Saturday-may 14, 2016-2:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary. Viewing will be held from 1:00PM till 2:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary.
Burial will be held on Monday-May 16, 2016-10:00 AM at Grants Memorial Park.
Elva was born on March 23, 1918 in Bancroft, Idaho. She was on of 11 children and grew up on a Ranch in Soda Springs, Idaho. She is the widow of Ray Ellis, who died on march 7, 1997. They had five children together, one infant that preceded them in death.
Elva was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She enjoyed time with her family, road trips, baking, spring gardening, crocheting, crafts, and her pet birds.
She is survived by two sons: Larry Ellis of Albuquerque and Thomas Ellis of Grants, NM; tow daughters: Carole Piedmonte of Grants, NM and Patti Bell of Cortez, Colorado; 15 Grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
