Ella Montoya

Funeral Mass for Ella Montoya 92 of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Saturday-July 11, 2015-11:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park.



Visitation will be held on Friday-July 10, 2015 from 5:00pm till 7:00 pm at Compassion Mortuary. Also on Saturday-July 11, 2015 from 10:30 till 11:00am at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.



Ella was born on August 23, 1922 in San Rafael, NM to Liverato Gallegos and Juanita New Gallegos.



Ella has been a member of the Senior Citizens for the last 23 years. Ella loved her home, her family, and her dear friends. Her pass time included shopping, relaxing and spending time with family and friends. When asked how she lived to be 92 she said, "I dance a lot and drink whiskey."



Ella is survived by her children, Juanita Macias and husband, Ernest of Grants; Julian Montoya of Grants; Carmel Montoya and wife, Diane of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Dorothy Koster, Doreen Macias, Bobby Macias, Ernestine Macias, Toye Montoya-Gossett, Will Gossett, Julie Montoya, Don Montoya, Favian Montoya, Tonya Montoya; Great-grandchildren, Edward Mendoza Jr., Audrey Mendoza, Anthony Baldonegro, Nicole Baldonegro, Bobby Macias Jr., Brittany Macias Cook, Ty Cook, Amanda Lucero Macias, Kyle Koster, Marisa Koster, Asia Montoya, Liam Gossett, Deserie Montoya, Haley Montoya; Great-great-grandchildren, Brenden Cook, Isaiah Diaz, Audianna Montoya.



She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Montoya in 1992; parents, Liverato Gallegos and Juanita New Gallegos; Sister, Piedad Chavez; Brothers, Selso Gallegos, Narciso Gallegos, and Pablo Gallegos.



Pallbearers, Edward Mendoza Jr., Anthony Baldonegro, Bobby Macias Jr., Kyle Koster, Don Montoya, and Favain Montoya.



Honorary Pallbearers, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Compassion Mortuary, Grants, is in charge of arrangements.
