Funeral Mass for Edith B. Thompson, 96, of Ganado, Arizona will be held on Friday-July 1, 2005-1:00 PM at the St. Michael's Catholic Parish in St. Michaels, Arizona. Burial will follow at the Ganado Community Cemetery, Ganado, Arizona.
Mrs. Thompson was born on May 15, 1909 in the Ganado, Arizona area into the Coyote Pass People and for the Edge of the Water People. She passed away on June 25, 2005 in Chinle, Arizona. She had worked most of her life as a Nurse Aide at the Sage Memorial Hospital in Ganado, Arizona.
She is survived by her children: LaRose Curley of Ganado, Arizona, Mary Toadachine of Ganado, Arizona, Maggie Lincoln of Ganado, Arizona, Leo Naswood of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Ilene Naswood of Ganado, Arizona; Sisters: Helen T. Begay of Steamboat, Arizona and Lillie Miller of Burnside, Arizona: 39 Grandchildren, 103 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband: George Thompson; Parents: Edge Water Red Man and Chischilly Bitsie Begay; Son: Kee Naswood; Daughter: Ann Marie Tso; Sisters: Lucy Begay, Nellie Begay and Ida Yazzie; Brothers: Joe Begay, Shawn Begay.
