Funeral Services for Dorothy B. Taylor, 91 of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Saturday-October 25, 2008-10:00 AM at the Immanuel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. Pastor Garland Moore will be the officiant.
Visitation will be held on Friday-October 24, 2008-1:00 PM-7:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary.
Dorothy was born on May 19, 1917 in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina and passed away on October 23, 2008 in Grants, New Mexico.
She is survived by her children: Larry Taylor and wife Sue of Grants, New Mexico, Carol Baca and husband Alex of San Antonio, Texas, Nancy Torrez and husband Ruben of Grants, New Mexico, Judy Canaba and husband Tony of Grants, New Mexico, Mary Taylor of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Jack Taylor of Reno, Nevada and Steve Taylor and wife Eleanor of Winnemucca, Nevada; 15 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her Husband: Parents: Arthur Shumate and Elizabeth Rhodes Shumate; Brothers: Larry Shumate, Iva Shumate, Burn Shumate, and Erenest Shumate; One Great Grandchild.
Pallbearers will be: David Taylor, Shaun Taylor, Duane Taylor, Tony Canaba, Jimmy Dodrill. Keith Taylor and Matthew Taylor.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Ernest Baca, Michael Canaba, Melanie Taylor, Tracie Ortiz, Tammy Madrid. Melissa Williamson, Vicki Gammage and Deanna Dodrill.
