Funeral Services for Delmer "Del" Dean Wardrip 80, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Friday-July 16, 2010-11:00 AM at Compassion Mortuary. Burial will follow at the Pioneer Memorial Cemetery. Pastor Garland Moore will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Friday-July 16, 2010-9:00 AM-11:00 AM at Compassion Mortuary.
Del was born on November 25, 1929 in Saint Charles, South Dakota and he passed away on July 12, 2010 in Grants, New Mexico.
He is survived by his long time companion: Carole Piedmonte of Grants, New Mexico; Children: Katheryn Welborn and husband Sam of Rogers, Arkansas and Lorin Wardrip and wife Kim of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Brother: Dwight Wardrip of Cortez, Colorado; Stepchildren: Jolene Alvarado of Grants, New Mexico, Preston Pugmire of Grants, New Mexico, Christine Flatt of Kingman, Arizona and Rae Lynn McAneney of Concord, California; 13 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Forrest Wardrip and Lottie Wardrip; Brothers: Murten Wardrip, Lorn Wardrip and Elverton Wardrip; Sisters: Donna Jansen and Oma Arp.
Pallbearers will be: Tommy Ellis, Larry Ellis, Dustin Arp, Randy Thomas, Jason Cox and Preston Pugmire.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Wade Wardrip and Leonard Jansen.
In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Pioneer Memorial Park Cemetery, P.O. Box 82, Blewater, New Mexico 87005.
