Funeral Mass for David Quintana,Sr. 79 of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Tuesday-November 24, 2009-10:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will full military honors by the VFW Lodge 3221 will be at the Grants Memorial Park. The Very Rev. Alberto Avella will be the Celebrant.
A rosary will be held on Monday-November 23, 2009-7:00 PM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
David was born on February 30, 1930 in Pecos, New Mexico and he passed away on November 20, 2009 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War and was a Uranium Miner.
He is survived by his Children: David Quintana, Jr. and Patrick Quintana of Grants, New Mexico, David Quintana of Silver City, New Mexico, Patsy Quintana of Silver City, New Mexico, Dolores Marquez, Beverly Marquez, Geraldine Marquez and Steven Marquez all of Denver, Colorado; Sisters: Becky Sanchez of Grants, New Mexico, Thelma Auguilar of Silver City, New Mexico, Susie Roybal of Grants, New Mexico and Ramona Sapien of Silver City, New Mexico; Brothers: Ruben Sandoval of Grants, New Mexico, Rudy Sandoval of Grants, New Mexico.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Fruitoso Quintana and Eufemia Sandoval Quintana; Son: Lorenzo Quintana; Daughter: Nadine Marquez; Sisters: Juanita Chavez, Cora Gonzales and Gloria Dubiate; Brother: Louie Armijo.
Pallbearers will be: John Carreon, Carlos Rodriguez, DAvid Vigil, Leonard Vigil, Luis Salcido and Tom Roybal.
