Funeral Mass for Daisy C. Ortiz 92, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Wednesday-January 28, 2009-10:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. The Very Rev. Alberto Avella will be the Celebrant.



Visitation will be held on Tuesday-January 27, 2009-1:00PM-6:00PM at Compassion Mortuary.



A Rosary will be held on Tuesday-January 27, 2009-7:00 PM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.



Mrs. Ortiz was born on March 16, 1916 in Cubero, New Mexico and she passed away on January 24, 2009 in Grants, New Mexico.



She is survived by her children: Viola Rodriguez and husband Rudy of Grants, New Mexico, Juanita Neyman of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Dennis Ortiz and wife Mary of Los Lunas, New Mexico, Raymond Ortiz and wife Joann of San Rafael, New Mexico, Becky Jaramillo and husband Johnny of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Reina Lucero and husband Mike of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Gilbert Ortiz and wife Annabelle of San Rafael, New Mexico and Rosendo Ortiz and wife Bernice of San Manuel, Arizona; Sisters: Mellie Rael of Grants, New Mexico, Kate Saavedera of Grants, New Mexico and Dora Marez of Grants, New Mexico; Brothers: Prescilliano Chavez of Flagstaff, Arizona and Fred Chavez of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 26 Grandchildren, 46 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.



She is preceded in death by her husband: Teodoso Ortiz; Parents: Isidro Chavez and Isabel Montano Chavez; Son: Jerry Ortiz; Brothers: Fernandez Chavez and Leopoldo Chavez; Grandson: Tony Ortiz and Edwin "Abby" Ortiz.



Pallbearers will be: Clifford Neyman, James Ortiz, Max Rodriguez, Joey Jaramillo, Michael Lucero, Ceasar Ortiz.



Honorary Pallbearer: Lawrence Lucero.
