Funeral Services for Cyril Eddie Shaw 89, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Saturday-September 21, 2013-10:00 AM at Compassion Mortuary, 120 N 3rd Street. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park, on Roosevelt Ave. With full military honors by the VFW Lodge 3221.



Visitation will be held on Friday-September 20, 2013 from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary.



Cyril was born on February 16, 1924 in Dawson, New Mexico to Raymond and Hazel Shaw and he passed away on September 16, 2013 in Grants, New Mexico. He was a retired Uranium Miner. He was a Veteran of the US Navy during World War II and the US Army during the Korean Conflict from 1950 to 1953. He was a life member of the VFW Lodge 3221 and served as commander from 1970-1977. He was also a member of the American Legion of Arizona and Grants and the Elks BPO Lodge of Grants,



Eddie loved going fishing with his children and loved spending time with his grandchildren.



He is survived by his Daughters: LaVeta M. Rose and husband Ray of Lewiston, Idaho and Betty Jo Shaw and companion Tim Elkis of Grants, New Mexico; Son: Charles Shaw and wife Shirley of Raytown, Missouri; Sister: Louis Faye Johnston of Hoggins, Oklahoma; 8 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.



He is preceded in death by his Wife: Martha D. Shaw; Parents, Raymond T. Shaw and Hazel Lillian Arnwin Shaw; Son: Duane Shaw; Sisters: LeVeta Johnson, Erlene Shaw and Virginia Shaw; Brother: Doyle Shaw.



Pallbearers will be: Aaron Dean, James Pastore, Sherman McKay, Kenny Woods, Frank Falcomata, and Jim Valdez.



Honorary Pallbearers will be: Charles Shaw, Pat Packer, Jerry Prunier, Danny Brow, Bob Ewell, his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.



In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Charity of your choice.
