Funeral Services for Christine L. Ashley, 51, of Grants, New Mexico will be held Monday-January 2, 2006-5:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Grants. Pastor Ruben Thomas will officiate.
A Second Funeral will be held on Saturday-January 7, 2006-2:00 PM at the Ford & Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Burial will follow in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
A visitation will be held on Monday-January 2, 2006-1:00 - 3:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary.
Mrs. Ashley was born April 13, 1954 in Japan while her father was serving in the military and passed away on December 29, 2005 in Grants, New Mexico. She was an Educator at the New Mexico State University-Grants Campus. She and her husband were past citizens of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Mattoon, Illinois.
She is survived by her husband: H. Vincent Ashley of Grants, New Mexico; Son: Vince Ashley and wife Shelley of Pana, Illinois; Mother: Anna Marie Parks Ayres of Las Vegas, Nevada and 3 Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father: William Ayres, Brother: Randal Ayres and a Sister: Marsha France.
