Charlie Porter

Funeral Mass for Charlie Richard Porter, 61, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Tuesday-August 23, 2005-1:00 PM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Father Avilla will be the celebrant. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park.



A rosary will be recited on Monday-August 22, 2005-7:00 PM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.



Mr. Porter was born on August 9, 1944 in San Rafael, New Mexico and passed away on August 18, 2005 in Grants, New Mexico. Graduate from Grants High School in 1963 and went straight into the service. He was Veteran of the US Army, Vietnam. After which he got married in 1967. He has been married for 38 years. His hobbies was hunting, fishing, camping, and anything to do with the outdoors. He loved to gardening and his country western music. He was a loving husband, father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle and son. he is loved and will be missed by all.



He is survived by his wife: Geraldine Rougemont Porter of Milan, New Mexico; Son: Hamp Porter of Grants, New Mexico; Sisters: Zilla Porter-Padilla of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Charlene Yanes of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Brothers: Bobby Porter of Grants, New Mexico, Harold Porter of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Jimmy Porter of San Rafael, New Mexico; Grandchildren: Luciana Rougemont of Pecos, New Mexico, Kenny Rougemont of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Nina Rougemont of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Victoria Porter of Grants, New Mexico, Hamp Porter, Jr. of Grants, New Mexico and Natalie Porter of Grants, New Mexico; Great Grandchildren: KJ Rougemont of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Dream Rougemont of Albuquerque, New Mexico.



He is preceded in death by his parents: Joe Julius Porter and Mary Archunde Porter; Son: Kenny Rougemont Porter; Brothers: Joe Julius Porter, Jr. and Richard Porter.



Pallbearers will be: Luciana Rougemont, Kenny Lee Rougemont, Nina Rougemont, Victoria Porter, Hamp Porter, Jr., Natalie Porter.



Honorary Pallbearers will be: Marlin Jaramillo, Pete Lucero, Felix Baca, Sammie Chavez, Gary Porter, JK Porter, Kenneth Porter, Glen Leadford, Cipriano Rougemont, Billy Tanuz, Jr. and all of his numerous nieces and nephews.
