Charles Corwin

Funeral Services for Charles "Chuck" D. Corwin, 80, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Tuesday-May 29, 2007-1:00 PM at the Central Baptist Church in Grants, New Mexico. Burial with full military honors by the VFW Lodge 3221 at the Grants Memorial Park. Pastor Lonnie Jordan will officiate.



Mr. Corwin was born on March 28, 1927 in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania and passed away on May 22, 2007 in Los Angeles, California after a short illness. He was a retired Uranium Miner. Mr. Corwin was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Navy and was stationed in Mcalester, Oklahoma where he met his wife to be. He was a member of the Oklahoma Masonic Temple for 50 years and a former member of the Grants Masonic Temple he was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Central Baptist Church in Grants, New Mexico.



He is survived by his daughters: Nancy Waters of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jackye and husband Jim Scyrkels of Grants, New Mexico and Connie and husband Carl Smith of Winton, California; Brother: Robert "Bob" and wife Sandy Corwin of Lilliwaup, Washington; Sisters: Mary Jane Logan of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, and Wilma and husband Paul Henderson of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; 6 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.



He is preceded in death by his wife: Betty Ruth Clanton Corwin; Parents: Charles C. Corwin and Margaret McClelland Corwin; Daughter: Margaret Ruth Corwin.
