Services for Carol Lea Elkins 76, of Grants, New Mexico will be Saturday-August 21, 2010-11:00 AM at Compassion Mortuary. Pastor Clyde Clark will officiate. Private Burial will be held at a later date.
Carol was born on August 29, 1933 in Capitan, New Mexico and she passed away on August 18, 2010 in the Grants Area. Since retiring from the Cibola County Assessor's Office, she enjoyed working in her yard, and spending time with her beloved dogs.
She is survived by her son: Johnny Elkins of Prewitt, New Mexico; Daughters: Jan Urioste and husband Alfred of Milan, New Mexico and Jonell Jaramillo of Nogales, Arizona; Brother: Bill Bingham and wife Beverly of Glendale, Arizona; 13 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Richard Bingham and Enid Bingham; sister: Rose Marie Womack.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Grands Animal Care Center. In the form of pet supplies (please call 505-285-4012 for more information).
