Funeral Services for Carlos Gene Lucero, Sr., 69, of Cubero, New Mexico will be held on Friday-March 9, 2007-9:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Road, NW, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, New Mexico.
A rosary will be recited on Thursday-March 8, 2007-8:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Mr. Lucero was born on April 21, 1937 in San Antonito, New Mexico and passed away on March 2, 2007 in Cubero, New Mexico. He was a Veteran of the US Navy.
He is survived by his wife: Marie Garcia Lucero of Cubero, New Mexico; Mother: Esther Stogden of Los Angeles, California; Children: Carlos Gene Lucero, Jr. and wife Carmen of Ion, California, Brenda and husband Rob Locklear of Phoenix, Arizona, Edwin Lucero and wife Blanca of Lancaster, California, Elmer Lucero and Wife Gricelda of Corona, California, Azucena and husband Anthony Talamantes of Lakewood, California, Wendy Lucero of Lancaster, California, Debbie and husband Scot Brown of Surprise, Arizona, Sandy Lucero of Cubero, New Mexico, Wendy Gonzales of Cubero, New Mexico; Sisters: Priscilla Stogden of Los Angeles, California, and Dorothy Salazar of Los Angeles, California; Brother: Jimmy Stogden of Georgia; 21 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be:: Edwin Lucero, Elmer Lucero, Danny Lucero, Henry Garcia, Jim Garcia, Lawrence Forsberg.
