Bernhardt Maki

Memorial Mass for Bernhardt Maki, 84, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Monday-March 3, 2008-10:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. The Very Rev. Alberto Avella will be the Celebrant.



Mr. Maki was born on March 14, 1923 in Wakefield, Michigan and passed away on February 27, 2008 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was retired from Kerr McGee Mines.

He was a veteran of World War II serving with the US Army, a life member of the VFW Post 3221, American Legion and the Elks.



He is survived by his wife of 61 years: Mary I Maki of Grants, New Mexico; Sons: Dale Maki and wife Mary R. of Grants, New Mexico, William G. Maki and wife Cheryl of Kathleen, Georgia and James Maki and wife Debbie of Chicago, Illinois; Daughter: Donna Miller and husband Leonard of Alamogordo, New Mexico; Brothers: Earl Maki of Wakefield, Michigan, Eugene Maki of Wakefield, Michigan, Lloyd Maki of Marquette, Michigan, Douglas Maki of Connecticut, Donny Maki of Gwinn, Michigan; Sisters: Lora Olson of Wakefield, Michigan and Carrie Ozello of Rochester, New York; 10 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.



He is preceded in death by his parents: William O. Maki and Linnea Torkko Maki; Sister: Bernice Stenesrue
