Funeral Services for Bennie Maria Veneranda Lopez 89, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-March 6, 2014-2:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary. A second Funeral will be held on Friday-March 7, 2014-1:00 PM at Freedom Church 3732 Cerrillos Road in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens on Rodeo Road in Santa Fe.



Bennie was born on November 2, 1924 in Pecos, New Mexico and she went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 1, 2014 in Grants, New Mexico.



She is survived by her Son: James Romero and wife Stella of Mesa, Arizona; Daughters: Cella Dean and husband Bruce Seaman of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Gloria Tapia and husband Carlos of Grants, New Mexico, Mary Alice Lopez and husband Leroy of Pojoaque, New Mexico and Regina Menning and husband Terry of Grants, New Mexico; Brother: Manuel Romero of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Son-in-law: Fidel Ortiz of California; 13 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren.



She is preceded in death by her husband: Leopoldo Lopez; Parents: Jose Romero and Rafaela Lucero Romero; Daughter: Patricia Ortiz 4 Sisters and 1 Brother.



Pallbearers will be: Michael Mondrgon, Stephen Ortiz, Tyler Romero, Fidel Ortiz, Isreal Lopez, Daniel Dean and Nathan Tapia.
