Rosary for Benjamin "Ben" Apodaca 90, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Wednesday-July 9, 2014-7:30 PM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.



Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday-July 10, 2014-10:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will Full Military Honors by the VFW Lodge 3221 will be held at the Grants Memorial Park. Father Joseph will officiate.



Ben was born on June 22, 1924 in San Mateo, New Mexico to Salvador Apodaca and Alifides Armijo Apodaca. He passed away on July 5, 2014 at this home in Grants, New Mexico.



Ben was a Veteran of the US Army 2nd Infantry Division during World War II. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. He retired from the New Mexico State Highway Department. B en was always willing to take everyone under his wing. He was a dad and grandpa figure to many others other than his own family.



He is survived by his Loving wife of 53 years: Priscilla Valerio Apodaca of Grants, New Mexico; Sons: Phillip Apodaca of Milan New Mexico, Bobby Apodaca and companion Amy Rael of Grants, New Mexico; Daughter: Tina Apodaca and companion Michael Rael of Milan, New Mexico; Grandchildren: Amy Martinez of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Clarissa Martinez of Bernalillo, New Mexico, Benjamin Apodaca of Grants, New Mexico and Bobby Apodaca, Jr. of Grants, New Mexico; Great Granddaughters: Neticia and Tiffany of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Brothers: Felix Apodaca and wife Adelina of Milan, New Mexico and Melkites Apodaca of Glendale, Arizona; sisters: Gladys Jaramillo of Grants, New Mexico, Rafelita Reyes and husband Adam of San Rafael, New Mexico; Brother-in-laws: Wilfred Sanchez of Milan, New Mexico, Serafin Jaramillo of Grants, New Mexico and numerous nephews and nieces.



He is preceded in death by his son: Patrick Apodaca; Parents: Salvador Apodaca and Alifides Armijo Apodaca; Brother: Jesus Apodaca; sisters: Teodora Sanchez and Elivira Jaramillo.



Pallbearers will be: Gilbert Lopez, Sammy Jaramillo, George Sanchez, Elmer Apodaca, Mike Apodaca and Michael Rael.



Honorary Pallbearers will be his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
