Funeral Mass for Arthur Shorthair 86, of Grants,New Mexico will be held on Friday-July 13, 2012-10:00 AM at Saint Michaels Catholic Church, Saint Michaels, Arizona. Burial will follow at the Saint Michaels Cemetery.
Arthur was born on June 29, 1926 in Saint Michaels, Arizona and he passed away on July 8, 2012 in Grants, New Mexico. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in World War II.
He is survived by his Son: Paul Shorthair of Sacton, Arizona; Daughter: June Shorthair of Sacton, Arizona; Sister: Louise Largo of Saint Michaels, Arizona.
He is preceded in death by his Parents: Mike Yazzie and Clara Peshlakai; Sisters: Louise Yazzie, Katherine Robin and Sarah Roanhorse.
Pallbearers will be: Myrtis Begaye, Calvin Castillo, OJay Buck, Mark Begay, Michael Yazzie-King, Rody Begay,
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Paul Shorthair, Robert Largo, Juan Becenti, Larson Largo, Samuel Robbins, Daniel Byrant, Melvin Roanhorse.
