Arthur Blea

Funeral Mass for Arthur "Auturo" Blea, 72, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Tuesday-July 1, 2008-10:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avilla Catholic Church. Burial with full military honors by VFW Lodge 3221 will be at the Grants Memorial Park. Very Rev. Alberto Avella will be the Celebrant.



A Rosary will be held on Monday-June 30, 3008-7:00 PM at St. Teresa of Avilla Catholic Church.



Mr. Blea was born on May 12, 1936 and passed away on June 26, 2008 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was employed with the Uranium Mines from 1970 until 1985 then he worked at the Grants High School and with the Forest Service amoung other jobs.



He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved the outdoors, gardening and being with his family. He loved everyone and had no enemies.



He is survived by his wife: Lena Blea of Grants, NM; Children: Samuel Blea and wife Katie of Grants, New Mexico, Verlinda Blea and fiance Felix Quiroz of Grants, New Mexico, Sampson Blea and fiancee Emmaleen Chavez of Grants, New Mexico, Rachel Blea of Grants, New Mexico, Jonathan Blea and fiancee Donna Roybal of Grants, New Mexico, Christopher Blea of Grants, New Mexico and Annette Blea of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Grandchildren:Kandra, Dominic, Patrick, Dominique, Renee, Vanessa, MaryJane, Adam, Nathan, Robert, Marie, Richard, Yvonne and many great grandchildren; Brother: Julian J. Blea of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Sisters: Virginia Uguaret and husband Rudy of San Antonio, Texas, Nancy Chavez and husband Edward of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Priscilla Serrano and husband Gilbert of Espanola, New Mexico, Mela Borrego and husbnad Alfonso of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Christine Fragua and husband Clifford of Antonito, Colorado Norman DeSalla and husband Jerry of Albuquerque, New Mexico.



He is preceded in death by his parents: Julian L. Blea and Raquel G. Blea.



Pallbearers will be: Samuel Blea, Verlinda Blea, Sampson, Blea, Rachel Blea, Jonathan Blea and Christopher Blea.



Honorary Pallbearers will be: Kandra, Dominic, Patrick, Dominique, Renee, Vanessa, MaryJane, Adam, Nathan, Robert, Marie, Richard, Yvonne.



In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Compassion Mortuary to help defray the cost of the funeral.
