A viewing and rosary for Arsenio Salazar 77 of San Mateo, New Mexico will be recited at St. Theresa Catholic Church on Monday, November 26, 2018 @ 7:00 pm; the Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 @ 10:30 am, followed by burial at the San Mateo Cemetery.
Arsenio Salazar passed away on November 22, 2018. He was born on February 24, 1941 to Ismael and Leticia Salazar in Grants, New Mexico.
Arsenio served in the U.S. Army National Guard and Reserves. He worked in the uranium industry for over 25 years. Currently, he was the Secretary/Treasurer of the Continental Divide Electric Cooperation, Inc. where he served for 42 years and was a member of the New Mexico Rural Electric Association Board of Directors, representing the Continental Divide Electric Cooperative, Inc.
Arsenio is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Jeana) Salazar, sons Paul and wife Debbie of Rio Rancho, NM, Martin and wife Nancy of Farmington, NM. Three sisters, Rafaelita Baca of Grants, NM, Vangie Armijo (Martin) of Bernalillo, NM, and twin Ida Segura (Eddie) of Albuquerque, NM. He has five grandchildren that he loved dearly: Damian, Patrick, Tiffany, Desne, Anthony, and one great grandson Mason arriving soon. He had many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ismael and Leticia Salazar, a brother Arturo Salazar, and a sister Eufemia Trujillo.
