Apolonio Montano

Funeral Services for Apolonio Montano 96, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Friday-July 27, 2012-11:00 AM at Compassion Mortuary. Chaplain Lynn Hinton will officiate. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park.



Apolonio was born on August 18, 1915 in San Mateo, New Mexico and he passed away on July 24, 2012 in Grants, New Mexico. He was a retired Uranium Miner.



He enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting with his sons and grandsons. He was soft spoken and always patient. Grandpa loved and showed much affection to all of his family



We thank him for all the wonderful memories.



He is survived by his three sons and three daughters: Eloy Montano and wife Dee of Farmington, New Mexico, Johnny Montano and wife Bonnie of Grants, New Mexico, Gene Montano and wife Dolores of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Vivian Richardson of Grants, New Mexico, Ida Foster and husband Bill of Australia, Susie Cassidy and husband Pat of Grants, New Mexico; 15 Grandchildren: Dena, Sandy, Debbie, BobbiJo, Michael, Christy, Tracy, Brandy, Sunny, SheLee, Kelly, Johnny, Brian, Yvonne and MarveLine; 27 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grandchilderen.



He is precedeed in death by his wife: Senaida Montano; Son: Benny Montano: Grandson: Bengie Lee.



Pallbearers will be: Johnny W. Montano, Brian Montano, Kelly Cassidy, Dena Richardson, BobbiJo Montano, Christy Montoya and Marveline Montano and Michael Montano.



Honorary Pallbearers will be: Chuck Hayes, SheLee Cassidy, Benny Montano Marez and Roger Stubblefield.
