Annie Ruth Small - 89 - longtime resident of Prewitt/Grants passed away on Sept. 21st, 2011.
Memorial will be held at Compassion Mortuary at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday Oct. 15th with a reception to follow at the La Ventana.
She was born in Grants, N.M. on Sept. 19th, 1922 to William Small and Birdee Murphree. Annie Ruth was married to James Wallace living in Prewitt, moving to California, and returning to Prewitt in 1970. She was a member of the local Easter Star and enjoyed living in Prewitt close to family and friends. She will be remembered for her kindness and beautiful smile. She enjoyed her garden, family, friends, playing games, and shopping.
She is survived by her brother Robert Small Sr. of Prewitt, 16 nieces and nephews, and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim, brothers Dwight, Tom, Max, Cliff and two sisters Cleo Newman and Mabel Slater. She will be missed by all those she has touched.
