Funeral Services for Annie B. Descheny 77 of Vanderwagen, New Mexico (Baahalii Chapter House) will be held on Tuesday-January 30, 2018-11:00 AM at the Lighthouse International Church, 2045 Westview Street, Gallup, New Mexico. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.



Annie was born into the Black Streaked Wood People and for the Red Running into the Water People on March 25, 1940 in Stinking Springs, New Mexico. She passed away on January 25, 2018 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Annie devoted her whole life to helping others. She Served on the Navajo Nation Council as a Delegate, as a Chapter Official for Baahalii Chapter, Served on the Gallup-McKinley School Board for many years, Navajo Health Board and many other areas for the Baahalii Chapter House and other community services. Her guidance and expertise will be greatly missed by the people of the Navajo Nation and McKinley County.



She is survived by her Loving Husband John C. Descheny, Jr. of the family home; Sons: Reginald Descheny and Travis James Begay both of Vanderwagen, New Mexico; Brothers: Paul C. Begay of Tohatchi, New Mexico, Dr. Ray James Begay,MD of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, Wesley Begay of Concho, Arizona; sisters: Mae Pino of Ramah, New Mexico, Dolly C. Begay, Ella C. Begay, Jr., Janice Begay and Sadie B. Martinez all of Vanderwagen, New Mexico; 5 Grandchldren and 8 Great Grandchildren.



She is preceded in death by her son: Timothy Descheny; Parents: James C. Begay and Eva "Yazzie" Begay; Brothers: Tim C. Begay, Sr., Benson C. Begay and Willie C. Begay.



Pallbearers will be members of the Family.
