Funeral Mass for Ann E. Rodarte, 75 of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Wednesday-October 1,2008-10:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. The Very Rev. Alberto Avella will be the Celebrant.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday-September 30, 2008-7:00 PM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Mrs. Rodarte was born on September 3, 1933 in Rodarte, New Mexico and passed away suddenly on September 26, 2008 in Grants, New Mexico.
Ann and her husband Henry moved from Rodarte, New Mexico to Grants in 1959 and have lived in Grants ever since. She worked for the Head Start as a teacher for many years. She got so much enjoyment out of that, then Henry got hurt real bad in a mining accident,so she stopped teaching. After a few years she began working at Gibson Dept. Store as a cashier. She worked there until it closed. Then she went to work for Alco Dept. Store until it closed. So when that happened she stopped working. So she could enjoy her grand kids and great grandson. She always had something good to say to all the people that filled her life, she had the patience of an Angel. She was the glue to our family and it will never be the same. We will miss you, wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, sister, sister in law and friend.
She is survived by her husband: Henry Rodarte of Grants, New Mexico; Children: Marvella Shaw and husband Dave of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Gary Rodarte of Grants, New Mexico and Elmer Rodarte and wife Sandra of Grants, New Mexico; Sister: Mary Vilpando of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Grandchildren: Christopher Rodarte of Grants, New Mexico, Steven Shaw of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Richard Jaramillo of Grants, New Mexico, LoryAnn Rodarte of Grants, New Mexico, Robert Shaw of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Matthew Shaw of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Gabriella Rodarte of Grants, New Mexico, Celeste Estrada of Grants, New Mexico, Shelby Estrada of Grants, New Mexico; Great Grandson: Damion DeHerrera Rodarte of Grants, New Mexico; Mother in Law: Eliza Rodarte of Rodarte, New Mexico and her God Sons and God Daughters.
She is preceded in death by her son: Ronnie Phillip Rodarte; Mother: Justa Martinez; Father: Jose Arguello; Sister: Juanita Vega; Father in Law: Fermincio Rodarte.
Pallbearers will be: Christopher Rodarte, Steven Shaw, LoryAnn Rodarte, Robert Shaw, Matthew Shaw and Gabriella Rodarte.
