Memorial Service for Andrew Kontz 17 of Gallup, New Mexico will be held on Saturday-August 10, 2013-11:00 AM at the Grace Bible Church located at 220 E. Boulder Road in Gallup, New Mexico. Pastors: John Luginbuhl of Grace Bible Church and Paul Kontz of Navajo Bible Church will co-Officiate. A Private Family burial will be held earlier for the family members only.
Andrew was born on December 14, 1995 in Gallup, New Mexico and he passed away on August 3, 2013 in Gallup, New Mexico.
He was to be a High School Senior this year. He had previously worked for Bread of Life Christian Bookstore, Aztec Auto and Holiday Nursery. He attended Grace Bible Church most of his life. and for the last two years was attending native Bible Church. He was involved in youth ministries and leading worship at Native Bible Church. He also previously worked at the Broken Arrow Bible Ranch of two seasons as a "wrangler". Andrew had a way with animals, was very giving and was known to be a "great kid".
He is survived by his Father: Richard F. Kontz, Mother: Mary B. Kontz and his brother Justin Marlowe Kontz; Maternal Grandparents: Don and Bobby Marlow; 3 uncles, 5 aunts on his father's side; and 4 uncles and 3 aunts on his mother's side.
He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents: Rex T. and Alene T. Kontz of Fort Defiance, Arizona.
Pallbearers will be: Rex Kontz, Tom Kontz, Adam Kontz, Danny Garcia, Chris Gill, Curtis Gill
