Andres Torrez

Funeral Mass for Andres A. Torrez, 74, of San Rafael, ,New Mexico will be held on Saturday-September 2, 2006-10:00 AM at the San Rafael Catholic Church. Father Alberto Avella will be the celebrant. Burial will follow at the San Rafael Community Cemetery.

Military Honors provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 33221.



A rosary will be recited on Friday-September 1, 2006-7:00 PM at the San Rafael Catholic Church.



Mr. Torrez was born on April 7, 1932 in San Rafael, New Mexico and passed away on August 31, 2006 in San Rafael, New Mexico. He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict.



He is survived by his wife: Magdalena Montoya Torrez of San Rafael, New Mexico; Children: Pauline Ann Chavez of San Rafael, New Mexico, Rebecca Cardenas of Benton, Arkansas, Margaret Chavez of Grants, New Mexico, James Torrez of Grants, New Mexico, Juan Torrez of San Rafael, New Mexico, Veronica Montano of San Rafael, New Mexico, Nadine Rodriguez of Milan, New Mexico, Joel Torrez of Osceola, Nebraska, Catherine Erives of Grants, New Mexico, Jackie Torrez of Grants, New Mexico, Jessie Torrez of Denver, Colorado, Alexandria Veloz of Glendale, Arizona and Alejandro Torrez of Grants, New Mexico; Brothers: Rosalio Torrez of San Rafael, New Mexico and Ramon Torrez of San Rafael, New Mexico; Sisters: Mary Archunde of Phoenix, Arizona and Ernestine Castillo of Winnemucca, Nevada; 33 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.



He is preceded in death by his parents: Leonardo Torrez and Conception Padilla Torrez. Brother: Leonardo Torrez, Sisters: Juanita Zuniga and Celine Jaramillo.



Pallbearers will be: James Torrez, Juan Torrez, Joel Torrez, Jackie Torrez, Jessie Torrez and Alejandro Torrez.



Honorary Pallbearers will be: Son-in-laws: Anthony B. Chavez, Antonio Cardenas, Orlando Chavez, Raymond Montano, Roger Rodriguez, Javier Ervies, Edward Veloz, all his grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nephew's, Nieces and all his friends.
