Funeral Services for Alva Jane Patterson, 84, of Milan, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-May 21, 2015-10:00AM at Compassion Mortuary. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday-May 20, 2015-from 4:00-7:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary.
Alva was born on Jan 31, 1931, in Vici, Oklahoma to Ollie Edward Cole and Violet Nettie Coles she passed away on May 17, 2015 in Grants, New Mexico. She was retired from the Grants State Bank.
She is survived by her daughter, Jerri Burk and her husband Bill, of Grants, and her son, Gary Patterson and his wife Norma, also of Grants; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Verline Alexander of Mesquite, Nevada and Sylva Rees of Clifton, Colorado; one brother-in-law Charles (Virginia) Blackman, of St George, Utah, and many nieces and nephews, who love their "Aunt Alva", and many, many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ollie and Violet Coles Cole, her husband, Gerald H "Pat" Patterson, three sisters, Lorene Threewitt, Olene Blackman, Melva "Judy" Sonntag, and one brother Ollie Edward "Buddy" Cole Jr, three brothers-in-law, Lloyd Alexander, Phil Sonntag and Charles Rees, and one great-grandson Joshua Vernon.
Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Wharton, Justin White, Andrew Patterson, Jerry Rush, Johnny Vernon, Danny Trujillo.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Gary Patterson, William "Bill" Burk, Bill Griner, Steven Rush, Jared Rush, Charles Blackman, Sheldon Burk, Dave Tucker, Patrick Patterson, Dayton Shafer, Jacob Shafer.
